How the simulation works

Each run starts with your bankroll and drops balls at your bet size on the chosen paytable until the balance can no longer cover a bet or the target number of drops is reached. We run 2,000 sessions and report how many survived, how many doubled the bankroll along the way, and where the busts typically happened. Because the outcomes are sampled from the real paytable rather than a normal approximation, the fat tails of high-risk Plinko are properly represented.

Reading the results

Survive target drops is the headline number. On 16 rows low risk, a 100-bet bankroll survives 500 drops in the vast majority of runs. On 16 rows high risk, the same bankroll busts before 500 drops more often than not – and the expected final balance is almost identical in both cases, because the house edge is the same. The difference is entirely variance.

Double bankroll first tells you the chance of hitting +100% at some point before the session ends. High-risk tables score higher here, which is their appeal; the price is the bust rate next to it.

FAQ

FAQ

Click any question – they open independently.

Why do the numbers change slightly each time?

Because it is a random simulation. 2,000 runs keep the estimates within about one percentage point; refresh to see the spread.

What bankroll do I need for high risk?

For a 500-drop session on 16 rows high risk, 300–500 bets gives a survival rate above 80%. For low risk, 50 bets usually suffices.

Does bet size matter?

Only relative to bankroll. Halving the bet is identical to doubling the bankroll in this model.
